Story behind my first GUI app in Visual Basic .Net

I can share my night coding experience which happened with me for the first time in my life and hopefully will be the last. I was asked by our college professor to develop an application for some competition. Same like the Fastest Finger First in KBC. It was a VB .Net application. I had 3 straight holidays so I decided to complete the entire application in these days.

After having dinner at 9:00 pm, I sat down to complete my project. In middle I was stuck with some errors and couldn’t resolve them. It was 10:30 pm then. I checked my clock and I realized that its time to go ZzZZZzzz. My normal time for sleeping. But thought completing this errors will be a good choice. So I again sat down and started coding.

I always aim for perfection no matter how small the project is. Because of this I started adding more and more features into the application to be more user friendly. And I didn’t even check my clock whole the time I was coding. Remember this was my first time coding at night and I was like on full swing for perfection.

When the application was finally ready, I checked my clock and it was 4:00 am. I thought my clock is not working properly. But when I confirmed, oh damn. It was too late to realize. So I went to sleep immediately.

I then woke up at 12:00 noon. I missed my breakfast that day.
